nino’s  film

Fresno-based photographer

Tim Nino

I, Tim Nino, am a central valley-based photographer. I gravitate towards [mostly] film photography. I believe that film as a whole is being forgotten, but I tend to express that it’s an art form that far exceeds modern photography.

Film

Nothing has come close to capturing the warmth, depth, and/or feeling of film. So… why is it fading? I begin to ask myself that question, as I look at all the moments (big and small) I’ve captured on film. Several reasons come to mind for this. Firstly, film is costly. Additionally, its prices are on the rise. Secondly, digital photography is taking over the world with its advanced technology. But I can’t seem to shake off the feeling that film is still superior, even though, its technology is outdated. Each roll of film expresses a different, aesthetic, and unique shot that gives off your desired photo.

digital

Regardless of preference, you cannot deny the technological advancements of digital photography. With those advancements, even with a ten-year-old Canon, I have been able to capture amazing moments.
